Accomplishment: Developed general model for assertions support

Description:

Developed and implemented a model for abstract invocable assertions as part of the Berkeley Prosopography Services (BPS). This model has broad application to other projects as well. Presented this model to Project Bamboo workshop as a design pattern for allowing researchers and others to annotate or declare findings in a research workflow, in a manner that can be shared, vetted, tracked, etc.

Purpose/Importance:

The assertions model has broad application in a range of applications.

Impacted areas:

Direct impact on campus partners and academic project partners at various universities. Indirect impact on project bamboo partners ad other projects with campus partners.

Strategic Alignment:

Aligns to campus strategic direction to provide support for research and teaching, using reusable web-services on common service platforms.
