Completed requirements analysis and product evaluations, resulting in the selection of Alfresco an open-source Enterprise Content Management (ECM) intended to act as multi-tenant platform that provides an easy way for campus scholars to safely organize, manage and share their research media.
Conducted a beta program in partnership with a beta testers allow prospective users to confirm the solution meets their needs, identify and address roadblocks to adoption for various campus groups (departments, research units, individual scholars, collections/museums), surface outstanding bugs, issues that need to be address before campus release.
Completed the localization and platform hardening to create a technically releasable service to the campus. It is currently branded the Media Hub, available to members of Data Services for demonstration purposes.
Received additional funding ($30,000) from the IT Bank to wind down the MVP in it's original form, and to incorporate the program findings in a more general OE-oriented approach to campus content management.
