Summary (a paragraph summary of the area of focus):

Further discussions between the CI, WS and BSP teams regarding content interoperability standards and services for Bamboo. Our goal is to come to the January 26-28 F2F meetings in Berkeley with:

  1. proposed standard(s) for content (repository) interoperability to be used in 2011 and 2012 by Bamboo; and
  2. a recommendation for experiments & interoperability developments to be conducted by NU & WI in 1Q/2011 and 2Q/2011.

Tasks (bullet list or outline of work being done)

Preliminary list of tasks (to be refined):

·         Examine repository interoperability stds and specs in the context of Bamboo, e.g. CMIS, JCR/JSR-170, SWORD/AtomPub, OAI-PMH
·         Look at extending prior work on connectors, e.g., NU connector app that provides RESTful JCR-compatible interfaces into CDL XTF content
·         Define experiments demonstrating Bamboo connectors to priority collections (to be carried out over next 6 months)
