Activity Definition(s)

A scholar may wish to obtain a local copy of an object for off-line access, annotation, transformation, etc. The local copy may be obtained directly in one of its published forms through a downloading process; or it may be requested from a managed collection of objects using an identifier for the object. Multiple representations or disseminations of the requested object may be available from the repository,

  • Present credentials
  • Specify the object to be retrieved
  • [Specify the required representation or dissemination].
  • [Specify the required packaging and encoding standards].

These are two additional activities that may need to be defined if not there already.
